KIDO MANGA (Japanese Burger, Crepes, Takoyaki, Coffee)

I think I finally found an alternative to my favorite burger – the Japanese Fresh Burgers by Kido Manga.

When it comes to burger, my all-time favorite is Bacon Mushroom Melt (BMM). I really love its mouth-watering combination of melted cheese, mushroom and bacon. But lately, while strolling at Robinson’s Manila looking for a Takoyaki (my wife is a Takoyaki lover), we came across with Kido Manga, a Japanese fast food.

Both of us intended to order Takoyaki but being a burger lover myself, I ended up ordering the Tako burger (Octopus Katsu) which is one of the six fresh burgers they offer.

Burgers are being prepared fresh so we waited for about 10-15 minutes. Their best seller, according to their cashier, is the Kido Master Burger which is made of 100% pure beef but I opted to Tako burger as I got curious how a real Octopus would blend in a burger.

And when my burger arrived...wow! The bread is so soft and when you chew it you wouldn't notice that Octopus was the main fillings. Sauce is a bit sweet and once you start you wouldn't want to stop. It's a total deviation from the traditional burgers I've ever known.

Takoyaki was also superb! Being an original Japanese food I expect it to be really good. And I was right. You can really tell the difference from other Takoyaki version. Some imitations were just topped with seaweeds after drizzling it with mayonnaise and sweet and spicy sauce. Kido Manga's Takoyaki is special. Aside from the usual vegetable filling, it has a noticeable bits of Octopus, glazed with special sauce and mayonnaise. The toppings that I like most is the fish flakes (Katsobushi) and nori flakes.

With these delicious Takoyaki infront of us, we wasted no time. Though it's still sizzling hot we just cooled it in our mouth.  So, we emptied our shared-plate..burrrp!

There's no doubt we will visit Kido Manga again the next time we come by at Robinson's Manila and try other burgers and drinks. Their price is reasonable. Besides, I already have an idea what to order next time :-). Enjoy!!
