KIDO MANGA (Japanese Burger, Crepes, Takoyaki, Coffee)

I think I finally found an alternative to my favorite burger – the Japanese Fresh Burgers by Kido Manga.

When it comes to burger, my all-time favorite is Bacon Mushroom Melt (BMM). I really love its mouth-watering combination of melted cheese, mushroom and bacon. But lately, while strolling at Robinson’s Manila looking for a Takoyaki (my wife is a Takoyaki lover), we came across with Kido Manga, a Japanese fast food.

My first visit to Hundred Islands was in 1990 when I was tagged along by Franciscan Sisters whom I’m serving during my senior year in high school. The place was just actually 30 kilometers away from Dasol, my parent’s hometown.

My wife broached the idea of visiting the island last April 21, as a farewell bonding for ate Joan (my sister-in-law) who was flying to Canada the next weekend. The idea floated just like one of my wife’s wishful thinking so she was entirely astonished when I subscribed to it. Everyone in the family got excited too when

A SALUTE TO ALL CARPENTERS

My father (now deceased) was a carpenter during summer and a farmer during rainy season. During my teen years, I would often help him tend our farm from plowing-to-planting-to-harvesting our crops but I can’t recall being with him in his carpentry works. I have surely erected a fence in our backyard and in our school garden, but most often, when harvest season is over, he prefers me to be with my books than being with a hammer and nails.

The other day, my wife and I engaged the services of kuya Abet to put up a canopy for vanzie (short for Avanza, our car) in a parking space we are renting. The ever-increasing hot temperature (36.7 degrees celsius the other day according to news report) prodded us to finally house vanzie in a comfortable shed to arrest any possible damage to the paint as an effect of a prolong exposure to extreme heat.
